        Artist Biography

Kai Wasikowski is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Sydney. In familiarising rapid environmental and technological change, Wasikowski’s artistic practice maps an intimate connection with the threat of impending ecological disaster and explores the emotional reverberations of a relationship with such disproportionate scale.
        Wasikowski graduated from Sydney College of the Arts in 2016 with a Bachelor Fine Arts with first class honors. Since graduating he has been selected as a finalist in the NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship at Artspace (2018) and ‘Hatched: National Graduate Show’ at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (2017). Recently he has exhibited at Sullivan+Strumpf Singapore (2018); Gosford Regional Gallery (2017+2019) and presented at the Sydney Contemporary Art Fair and Auckland Art Fair. Wasikowski first exhibited with Tributary Projects in 2018 as part of the group exhibition ‘Non-being Human’ curated by Grace Blake.
