Nathan Nhan is a Canberra based ceramicist studying within the ANU School of Art & Design. Nhan is interested in using the ceramic vessel as a vehicle to communicate the eternal within the medium. Combining this with the trope of love in popular culture, Nhan appropriates grecian vessel forms to capture the emotions evoked by sentimental love songs. Experimenting with the forms of grecian ceramics, Nhan creates a dynamic and playful exploration of the materiality of ceramics as a vehicle to communicate love as an object of endurance.
