Skye Jamieson is a Canberra based artist who works across painting, drawing and print-making practices. She is interested in water and the incessant appearance of blue in a developed environment; its constancy amongst rubbish. The artist often works in immediate ways on canvas and paper in reflection to found objects.
Skye Jamieson graduated from the ANU School of Art in 2017 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours). Since graduating Jamieson has been involved in numerous solo and group exhibitions, mist notably: ‘East Australian Current’ TW Fine Art Brisbane (2018), ‘Blaze Thirteen’ CCAS Canberra (2019) and the Emerging and Graduate Art Exhibition at M Contemporary, Sydney. Jamieson is currently artist in residence at the OBRAS Residency in Portugal. Jamieson has held 2 solo exhibitions with Tributary Projects, ‘Compression Biscuit’ (2017) and ‘Blue straw on a path to Dickson’ (2018).
